The viewing point at Pico dos Barcelos has one of the most dramatic views of Funchal and the surrounding areas. Winding through the roads on the way to Eira do Serrado you gasp in amazement at the road structure.

We can appreciate the monument of Our Lady of Peace, or even the fishing village of Caniçal, the excursion of Pico do Arieiro, finishes on Ponta de São Lourenço, it’s something you can’t miss.

Going through the southwest coast of Madeira, we are going to stop on Ponta do Sol, after a short stop, we are going to go on the directions of the fishing villages as Madalena do Mar, Jardim do Mar, Paul do Mar, and then we’re going to go up, until we get to the viewpoint of Precipício stop settle down a bit.

We are going to start by stopping on the viewpoint of Pico da Torre, to check out the fishing village of Câmara de Lobos, going towards Cabo Girão that is the second highest sea-cliff in the world with 580 mts.

Ribeiro Frio is known because of the gardens and the trout nursery, and that’s our first stop, having the possibility to do a small and easy foot walk along the levada dos Balcões.

The excursion of the volcanic Caves is very interesting, because we will learn how Madeira’s formation. After the stop we will leave São Vicente with a new destiny towards Arco de São Jorge and we will visit the Rose Garden where exists over 1.000 species of roses.

You can live a typical Madeira night, eating dinner on a restaurant and listening to Folklore group acting. It’s something you can’t resist.
